Notre-Dame

Actually, this week has transformed my blog to a Tourist Guide :-D But they leave tomorrow ( too early if you ask me ) , so the normal blog will come back . Here are some photos of the Curch of Notre-Dame, that we went to see today .

But i think I'm gonna make more "tours" and "visits" like some tourists even if I live here !

Eiffel-Tower by night

Like I said yesterday, we went the EiffelTower by night, it was absolutely beautiful ! I'd been there twice before, but that was a quite long time ago ! If you ever go to Paris, you just must go to the Eiffel tower by night, when it's like really dark outside. Anyway, here are some photos :

Hungarian Exchange, Montmartre

I received my Hungarian penpal yesterday ! Once they had arrived, we went to a park and bought some drinks and talked . Today we ( my class and the hungarian class ) visited Sacré-Coeur and made the Rallye of Montmartre. It was nice, because the weather was great ( sunny and warm ! ), and then we all had picnic in the Parc of Sacré-Coeur, playing guitar and singing Chupee :-D Really nice, I had a great time !
But it's a bit difficult to talk with my penpal, as her english isn't very good and I always begin speaking german with her ! It's a reflex i can't help it ! It's because I really miss my German penfriend who was here not so long ago...
Anyway .
Today evening, when it's really dark outside, we're going to see the eiffel-tower, but by night, with all the lights and everything. I've never been there by night ! Exciting :)

Casa de Bernarda Alba / Snacks

I just came home ten minutes ago after a really nice "snack" with my classmates. We went to see a play with the school today, after what some of us went home whereas I and my friends went to the supermarket, bought snacks and then went to the park. We had really fun, and it was great that the sun was shining. Yes, the sun is shining in Paris, in mars , and the temperature was about 22°C today!Amazing ! Then what is it gonna be like in June ? Even better ( Hopefully ! ) ;-)

The play that we saw was boring. I used to like seeing plays with the class, the often are interesting and quite nice, but this one was incomprehensible. Fortunetaly,the guy who worked there and who met us told us what it was about, like a résumé : A woman losses her husband and decides to impose to her and her 5 daughters an 8-years mourning. But the husband of one of the daughters is cheating her and escapes every night ( if i understood well ) to meet the most young daughter in secret . But one night, someone ( i didn't quite understand who did it ) tries to shoot him down, but misses . His wife, who only hears the gunshot, thinks he's dead and suicides, which makes the mourning even worse. It was really complicated, but the meaning of the play was to show us the difficulties of the Spanish ( 'Cause it all happens in Spain, around 1920 ) traditions and the problems of love .
And you know the worse that made the whole thing even more incomprehensible and weird ? The three actors ( three women ) were stepping. Just like in Happy Feet. In the beginning it was cool and
 quite impressive, but after 20 minutes it became boring .
It's called : La Casa de Bernarda Alba = Bernarda Albas house .
I think I'm gonna read the book, it probably will be more clear then .

I'm going to see Nightwish when they come in Paris at the POPB, I can't wait, I love this band !

I am learning to play the harmonica, because this song is nice and I like listening to it when doing my homework.

Tim Burton Exhibition and his movies .

Yep, I went to the Tim Burton exhibition yesterday with my mother. It was nice, there were a lot of drawings by him, but i must say, i expected something... bigger. But i liked it. It's a travelling exhibition, that was created at the MoMA, Museum of Modern Art .
i couldn't take any photos, that's really too bad . Well, if it comes to where you live, I recommend it. Right now it is in Paris, at the Cinémathèque, ( exactly 20 minutes from where I live ! ) in the 13° arrondissement .

I really love Tim burton, my favorite movies by him are Edward Scissorhands and The nightmare before Christmas, but all the others films are great too ! He is amazing. The next movie to come is Dark Shadows , it comes out in Paris in May . I can't wait !!

Paintings, Accidents in PE

I wasn't allowed to use the computer until now, i'm sorry. I was...punished by my mother.
Anyway... since then, many things have happened. I had another problem in Physical Education at school last day, I fell on the floor and couldn't walk. I'm getting used to it...
When we went to the Louvre, I bought a poster of a painting by Claude Monet, it's called Le Parlement de Londres . It's really nice, I like the colours, and it looks good next to my absolute favorite poster of the painting by Vermeer, The Girl with a Pearl Earring .
Tomorrow I'll post some photos,  among others pictures of both of them .

Dangerous stairs / Florida

I had a little accident when going to the basket match today... I fell in the stairs, and rolled down for 10 seconds, until an old lady caught me. I couldn't walk, my legs were shaking, so the coach brought me back to the school where I had to wait for my father to come and get me.
What a sh*t day . But they ( cause i didn't play... ) won. so we are qualified. And our coach will pay us One MacDonals-menu each ( and we are 10, hehe ) . From the beginning it was like a bet : if we got qualified for the Final, he had to pay us a McDonald each. And he promised us he would, so !

We may be going to Florida this summer ! I am so happy ! It's gonna be great , the sun, the beach, the house ( Home For Exchange, you maybe know ? You switch homes with another family/person somewhere in the world ) . we would do that, but it's still not sure. But i hope !!!

Voice-over

I am so happy !!!  After tomorrow we have a basket-ball match, that's the first thing that I am happy for,and secondly I am recording a voice for a movie tomorrow ! I will go to the studios and make a voice-over. I will "play" a young swedish woman  who says a sentence, but she doesn't say, she sings it. In swedish. and I will make the voice-over : D  I am so excited!!!
The movie will be on TV, and I get so excited by imagining my name on the credits at the end !

I'm feeling really good !

Colours

Basket and Hungary : Woo !

We had a basket-ball match today ! We won it ( of course hehe ) 44-6 . I shoted twice and scored them both . I am really happy, our team is qualified for the semifinals.  It's great ! I am proud of myself, I played well today . Then we had to watch and encourage the boysteam play. I think I've lost my voice, we yelled like maniacs ! But it was really fun . I love this sport !!!

And I got a letter from my future Hungarian penfriend today ! She looks really sympathic and nice, I can't wait to see her ! She's coming in two weeks ! Woooo :D
I had a great day. Fun, exciting, like I said: Woo !

Hard days night.

I went back to school today, after two weeks of holidays. Two veeery nice weeks ! It was hard this morning. you know, when you get used to be able to get up at 11 pm every morning for two weeks, getting out from your bed at 6.4o pm is harder than you think. And I had what they call Ohrwurm in Germany ( i think . . . ), a song in the head all day long  : Hards days night, by The Beatles. I love this song, but when comin home I just couldn't stand it anymore. all day long . . .

I am gonna try to put some more pics on the blog, but I can't guarantee anything . . . My computer works when he wants to.
I'll try again tonight.

Ratatta, Bad grades .

My mother is listening to Ratatta, a Swedish music band . I just can't stand hearing that sh*t-music anymore..; And the worse is : she sings with . God take me away from here... Please.
Anyway.
Yes, I got a really bad grade in Mathematics. I passed my Exam, (Brevet Blanc for the French readers). Well not, reaaally bad, but not good. 16 on 40 . The worse is that I know exactly what I did wrong, at least I think i do. Luckily, my parents did not go so angry. It's genetical, these bad grades in Mathematics. And anyway, it's just an exam. It won't kill me.
to those who feel insecure in school when it's about exams and all that : Relax. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Take them as a training, don't begin thinking like " oh no I'm not going to make this". Tell yourself : " Okay, let's do this. Who cares if I screw it up, at least I did my best" .

A friend of mine is at the hospital right now. I am sad, of course, i really hope he'll be better soon.
I think about it/him often... Really hope it's gonna be okay.

The Nightmare Before Christmas

Once again, I'm sharing my opinion about a movie. This time, the film in question is The Nightmare Before Christmas, by Tim Burton . It is an animated movie/musical about Jack, a skeleton who lives in Halloween-Land. Every year, the monsters who live there organize Halloween . One day, Jack discovers the Christmas-Land, and is so impressed that he wants to organize christmas too instead of Halloween. He kidnaps Santa Claus and convinces the monsters to make presents . But instead of a perfect Christmas, it becomes a disaster.

I recommend this film, it is really great and the songs are really nice . I love it !

Dr.Martens and Melodifestivalen

I finally have got them !!! I've been waiting, searching, making telephone-calls, travelling, searching again, for almost 3 months, and now they are here ! I'm soooooo happy !!!!! Can't stop smiling !
 So I'm going to sleep very well tonight ( as always, hehe ) .

And we ( me, my family, and probably whole Sweden i think ) are looking at the Melodifestival ( Andra chansen ) , where take place the selections  for the Eurovision Song Contest. In Sweden, the competition keeps going after the first competition, it's called the Second chance and is reserved for those that didn't came through the first selection . It's very popular, almost the whole country watches it, I guess. And my mother loves it.

In résumé : I am going to spend a nice evening in front of the TV with my brand new shoes on .
Yay !

Musée du Louvre

So... I went to the Louvre today, with my family. I took many pictures, but most of them weren't very good, as I wasn't allowed to use the Flash while photographing the paintings.  But the rest of the photos looks good, so I'll post just post them.
I went there especially because I wanted to see the Hall of the Dutch arts, called " les arts hollandais" . It's my favorite one, with the hall of sculptures and engravings, called "les sculptures et gravures". I love those two halls.
My mother told me that it would take three years to see all the paintings, engravings, sculptures, etc.  in the Louvre if you stopped and looked at them for each 10 seconds. And I believe her ! It's the biggest museum in the world :D
