DIY : Dip-Dye Ombré Studded Sweater

This is probably one of the trickiest and longest DIY I've made 'til now..
But damn, it was worth it !!
Do this if you have time, gloves, and if possible some help by a friend or a family-member.

You will need :
- An old Sweater
- Special Fabric Dip-Dye Paint.
- A Bucket of warm water
- Salt
- Studs

Step 1 : Fill the Bucket of warm water + salt + the paint

 Blend everything with a spoon.

Step 2 : Dip the Sweater into the bucket.
Leave it there for about 3minutes.
Now, to make the Ombré-look, let only the very ends of the sweater dip a bit longer into the bucket, like 6 minutes.

Step 3 : Allow to dry.
This is going to take time, let it dry for the night and "wring" the painted parts of the sweater to remove excess paint.

Step 4 : Rince with cold water  and let dry.

Step 5 : Stud
Using your studs and a knife, push the studs through the fabric where you want and bend the prongs into the fabric.

Use your imagination, Be Creative !

Now, Admire !!!

DIY : Red Leopard Shoes !

These shoes are perfect for the Spring/Summer, they go with almost everything and they are quite easy to make :) This DIY goes for all colours, which means if you want to do it on Blue Shoes for example , it will still be the same tutorial ;-)

You will need :
Red (Or the colour you want) Shoes ( I got mine at Primark for 3 euros! )
Black Acrylic Paint
- A Fine Painting-Brush
- A Pencil
- Scotch Tape
Tip : Wherever you do this, just make sure you've got something under the shoes while painting them, like old newspaper or plastic-bags, as you sure don't want to get Acrylic paint on the floor !

Step 1 : Take off the laces and tape the sides of the shoe.
All is in the title !

Step 2 : Draw the pattern
Using your paper-pencil , draw the leopard-pattern on the shoe to facilitate the painting-part. You can use a picture of pattern as a model if you want to, it's easier especially if you're afraid to fail the pattern.

Step 3 : Paint.
Take your brush and start painting over the pattern you've drawn on the shoe. Don't paint like it's some kind of paper, just "dot" gently with your brush on it.

Step 4 : Allow to dry + take off the tape
I let mine dry for the night. Acrylic paint dries quickly, but it's always better to let dry for a long time, just to be really sure !
You can take off the tape of the sides of the shoe, and once they are completely dry put the laces back !

Admire your work !

DIY Project : Handprints -T-shirt.

I often look for inspiration on Youtube, and I have some favourite channels and "Youtubers" I love , for example Andreaschoice or TheNotoriousKIA and others.
So I saw this video by TheNotoriousKIA where she showed her new T-shirt with two handprints on it .
It looked a bit like this :

I love it !!!  So I'm going to make the same on a Grey kind of Oversized T-shirt, and with some black acrylic paint I'll make the handprints !

DIY : Tie-Dye Jeans.Step-By-Step.

To make this awesome pair of jeans I talked about in the first DIY project in this blog i posted last week,

You will need :

- A pair of Jeans
- Bleach ( about 1L )
- A Bucket of warm water
- Rubber-bands

First Step : Tie/Knot the jeans

Take the rubberbands and the jeans, and use them to tie the jeans making small "knots" or "balls" . Keep on tying and fasting the jeans, feel free to bind some "balls" together. The more you make, the better the result will be, but that depends on what you want.
This is what it should look like once you're done with that :

Step 2 : Bleach one side at a time .

Fill your Bucket with about 1L of the Bleach, and then about 1-2/4 of warm water ; It's important that you do put water in the bucket with the bleach, but not more than the bleach itself.
Then, just put down your tied-up Jeans in the bucket and leave them there for about 1hour, depends on how bleached you want them to be. Then, come back after that time and turn them around so that the bleach can act on the other side, and leave it that way for about 40 minutes. It's better if you don't leave them as long as you did for the first side, like 20minutes less.

Wear Gloves !

1st Side : I left the first side for about 1h30 hour.

2nd Side : This is what it looks like when you turn them around to leave the other side. I left it for 45-55 minutes.

As you can see, the bleach has done its work very well and is going dark in the bucket. That's totally normal ;-)

Step 3 : Rince with cold water & Take off the rubberbands.

Once you're done bleaching them, take them carefully in your shower/bathroom/whatever and rince with cold water. It's important you really do it well, and wring the jeans to get the rest of the water/bleach out of them.

Step 4 : Allow to dry .

Leave them to dry ( in preference outside ). You can leave them for the night or even more if you want. I left mine from the end of the afternoon to the next day, they dried both night and day.

TADAM ! Once they're dry, put them on and go out to rock the world with your new unique Tie-Dye jeans !

I'll soon post a photo of me wearing mine . I am absolutely in love with them, they turned out even better than I thought ! They are soo gorgeous.. I can't wait to wear them !

Hope you liked it ! please comment :D

DIY Project : Blue Ombré-Studded Sweatshirt

I . WANT. THIS. SWEATER .

I mean it ! I think it's totally awesome, I love the ombré look, it's a Dip-Dye !

I want exactly the same : in Blue.

But hey, I am not paying 50bucks for a sweater in a colour I don't really like. I love the Dip-Dye Style and the studs and everything, but pink isn't my colour.. So let's make the same, with another colour !
= Let's DIY !

It's the new project , I'm so excited ! But first, i'm gonna do these Tie-Dye Jeans.

Bad day.

Week-start.

A both positive and negative week-start. I had a good time with my friends this afternoon, it was quite warm outside today and I ate at Mc.Donalds. That was good ! besides, I've finally found the place where I can buy the specific White Sweatshirt I wana use to Dip-Dye and Stud , at a reasonable price.
Quite Okay actually, for a Monday.

Thing is, I totally screwed up my French test. It was a reading-test, to check if we'd read and understood the book . I didn't. I read it for sure, but I really didn't undertsant a single thing about it.. So when I saw those questions in the Evaluation like : Why does the author use this specific word at page.77 ? What could I do ?? I did what I could. But I'm really not satisfied at all...

Beautiful Day !

Spring !

It almost feels like summer :) Spring is finally here, it is warm today after about 5 months of cold !
I'll probably go out and have a "pic-nic" with my best friends , I've been waiting soo long for this :-D
I'm putting away the big winter jackets and taking out the shorts, tops, t-shirts and vests !
I love this <3

Daughtry -Break The Spell => TBUBCF-album.

I've been listening to this album for the whole day , even from this morning at 9am. to right now, 11pm.
I call it : The-Break-Up-But-Can't-Forget -Album.
Listen to it. It's definitly worth it. Even if you don't really like rock music or so, the lyrics are very meanful, especially if you are in the case of a "Break-Up-But-Can't-Forget" just like me for now about 3 weeks.
I recommend ''Louder Than Ever" as well as "Crazy" and "Break The Spell" .

DIY : Dip-Dyed Bleached Distressed & Studded Shorts !

Here's a new DIY ! My friend gave me an old pair of shorts that she didn't use anymore, and wanted me to turn them into these bleached studded and ripped shorts she had seen on a Website . Of course, I said Yes, and so yesterday I did it all !

Here's for you, an Easy Step-By-Step Tutorial :

You will need :
-Bleach ( in France, Eau de Javel La Croix ) = 1,5 L. should do it.
-Scissors
-Sandpaper
-A big bucket of warm water
-Studs ( I got mine on an old studded belt , but you can buy in stores , H&M have some good ones for example ) + Knife to apply them.
-A pair of Shorts !

Let's Go !

Step 1 : Cut & Distress .First, you want to cut and rip/distress the shorts :
After cutting them with them with the scissors, take the sandpaper and just start ripping the bottom of the shorts, right where you cut them.

When you can see those white threads, you can use your fingers and pull them towards, like taring them apart from the shorts.

Step 2 : Studs . Once you're done ripping and distressing them, take your studs and start applying them where you want .

Before attaching the studs, consider if they will be comfortable on that specific spot. Apply the stud by pushing the prongs through the fabric and then bend the prongs inward to secure it.

Step 3 : Dip and Dye . Fill a bucket of warm water to a height between 1/4 and 1/2 of the bucket. It works with cold water too, but I've heard it goes faster with warm ! Then shed the bucket with about 1,5 L. of the Bleach, and start dipping the shorts in the bucket full of bleach+water . Wear Gloves !

As you will have to leave it there for about 30-50 minutes ( depends on how bleached you want it : The longer it's dipped, the more bleached it will be ! ), you may want to hang them with some clamps.
I left mine for about 1h30 hour !
BTW : Sorry for that picture-quality...

Step 4 :  Rince with cold water. When you estimate the shorts have dipped in the Bleach long enough, just take them out and rince them with cold water .

Step 5 : Allow to dry .
I allowed mine to dry for almost 24hours, but you can use a dryer if you really can't wait to see the result and you get very bored and want to wear your new shorts within the next 5hours... :P

TADAM ! You have a new pair of absolutely awesome shorts ! I'll ask my friend to send some photographs when she wears them for the first time (= when it gets a little warmer outside :-P  ) .

Please, leave comments and don't hesitate sending me photos of YOUR Shorts ! I would love to see the results ! Besides, if you have some comments or advices about my method , tell me please ! "You learn from your mistakes" ;)

Blue Pumps.

I want a pair of  blue pumps . Just like these :

The thing is, I am not quite sure I'll be able to walk with them. I don't feel comfortable in these kind of shoes. BUT i Do have a pair of old heel shoes that look a bit like this beauty, and I can walk with them without no major problem ! So..; I'll DIY them ! I'll just paint them Blue ! If I have the time, of course...

DIY Project : Tie Dye Jeans

Let me introduce my new DIY project : the Tie Dye Jeans !
So, as you all know, the Tie and Dye Trend is really big this year, and it is seen everywhere : T-shirts, Shorts, Shoes and... jeans !
But why pay like 40 bucks in store, when you can do them yourself at home ??
Don't worry, it's super-easy and the final price is like 3 euros.

Want to know how to Do It Yourself ? Well.... Wait for this week-end :D

here are some pics of the project :
